On October 14, VanEck filed a request with the SEC to withdraw its application to launch the VanEck Lido Staked Ethereum ETF.
The fund was intended to hold stETH directly and pass staking income on to investors, less expenses.
The initial application was filed on October 16, 2025. A year later, the company had yet to determine the exchange, ticker, or fund fee.
The ETF registration statement did not become effective, and no shares were issued or sold.
VanEck said it was withdrawing the application because it had abandoned plans to offer the fund’s shares. The company gave no other reasons.
The SEC must approve the withdrawal request to complete the process.
