Ledger reported cases of funds loss among users who purchased hardware wallets from reseller CryptoBillis.
During the investigation, Ledger requested CryptoBillis to suspend all sales and deliveries of devices.
The company’s recommendations:
- Users who purchased devices from CryptoBillis within the past 90 days should not activate them if they haven’t been set up yet.
- Those already using such wallets are advised to transfer their assets to a new Ledger device with a new seed phrase.
The cause of the funds loss has not yet been determined. Ledger is continuing its investigation and promises to share the results.
