The team announced the closure of the Blast L2 network. Network maintenance costs exceed its revenue, and the team sees no path to self-sustainability. Therefore, it has decided to wind down the project.
All users need to withdraw their assets to the Ethereum mainnet. This applies to balances in the Blast PWA as well. The withdrawal delay will be reduced to 24 hours.
First, the team will withdraw Blast assets from Lido. This process will take about a week. During this time, withdrawals will be unavailable, even with the reduced delay. Once the process is complete, withdrawals will resume with a new 24-hour delay.
Through the regular Blast interface, assets can be withdrawn until October 26, 2026. After this date, assets will still be available for withdrawal, but users will need to interact directly with the Blast bridge contracts on Ethereum L1. The team promises to publish detailed instructions in advance.
