The Drift Foundation has issued DFX token claims to users who reported confirmed losses from the April 1 hack, when users lost approximately $295.4 million. For each USDT lost, users receive 1 DFX.
Each DFX represents a share in the recovery fund, which currently holds about 3.11 million USDT. The fund is replenished through daily revenue shares from the Velocity protocol, up to 127.5 million USDT from Tether, up to 20 million USDT from strategic partners, and also through returned funds. The search for the stolen assets is being conducted by zeroShadow and law enforcement agencies.
DFX can be exchanged for USDT at any time at an exchange rate calculated as the fund’s balance divided by the number of tokens in circulation. Redeemed tokens are burned, making the exchange final. DFX can be claimed until January 1, 2028; unclaimed tokens will be burned.
