OpenAI has launched the continuously active AI agents Dots and the new GPT-6.1 Sol model.

Dots — personal agents within ChatGPT based on GPT-6 Astra: you can assign a name, delegate a long-term task, connect Slack, Teams, and other services— the agent works in the background and notifies you of the result. Available starting Tuesday for ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium subscribers in select countries.

GPT-6.1 Sol — nearly caught up with GPT-6 Astra in agent coding, computer work, and professional tasks, yet costs several times less. On DeepSWE v1.1, it achieves results on par with Astra at one-fifth the price; on OSWorld 2.0, it lags by only 2.1 points while costing about seven times less.
