At launch, Aero will operate simultaneously on seven networks: Base, Ethereum, Robinhood Chain, Arc, Optimism, Arbitrum, and Ink. Robinhood Chain and Arbitrum were added to the final list shortly before the launch.
Aero is positioned as a unified liquidity layer for the Ethereum ecosystem. Users will be able to swap assets across supported networks via Metaswaps, provide liquidity to Slipstream pools, and allow projects to launch new markets without permission.
Holders of sAERO will be able to distribute AERO rewards among pools across all seven networks and receive a share of the protocol’s revenue.
According to the team, the networks currently served by Aerodrome and Velodrome account for approximately 17% of EVM spot volume. After Aero’s launch, the market available to the protocol should increase roughly threefold.
