The Magic Eden (ME) team has denied reports of a hack: the hack affected the Limit Break protocol, not the marketplace itself. Magic Eden stopped using it in 2024.

Magic Eden stated that the marketplace itself was not hacked. The vulnerability was discovered in Limit Break Payment Processor V2—a trading smart contract for NFTs developed by Limit Break, which Magic Eden stopped using for EVM asset transactions in 2024.

Users are advised to revoke permissions granted to Magic Eden until further instructions are provided.
