The Upbit exchange has revoked the special status previously granted to Injective (INJ) for the purpose of protecting users. The decision was announced on September 22 at 10:00 a.m. Moscow time.
The status had been introduced on September 1, 2026, following a security incident affecting wallets or the distributed ledger associated with the asset’s issuer or operator. The exchange determined that the incident posed a risk of losses to holders.
Afterward, Injective provided Upbit with documentation detailing the circumstances of the incident and the measures taken. Following a review, the exchange concluded that the grounds for the special status had been eliminated and lifted the restriction on September 22.
