The Pump.fun platform has introduced a new type of token with rewards for holders. Trading fees now go into a distribution wallet, from which funds are automatically distributed to all holders several times an hour, proportional to their holdings. Anyone holding tokens worth more than $20 can receive payouts.
Rewards are paid out in the currency paired with the token. For example, if the pair is with SOL, payments are made in SOL; if it’s with PUMP, payments are made in PUMP.
At the same time, the platform has removed the cashback mode. Now, when launching a token, you can choose only between a standard token with the creator’s fee and a token with rewards for holders. Existing tokens of both old types can be converted to the new format, but there’s no way back.
The protocol’s fees remain unchanged. For pairs involving SOL and USDC, the previous fee structure with a rate that decreases as capitalization grows remains in place. For custom pairs, the creator can set a fixed fee ranging from 0.01% to 3%, but once set, the fee cannot be changed later.
