The FLOP Network has released the updated Yellow Paper, version 0.5.0. The project is building a blockchain for settling payments for AI computations: miners run models, and validators verify the correctness of their operation.
The testnet is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026. Participants will receive tokens for their activity on the test network.
The mainnet is planned for the first quarter of 2027. The exact mechanism for converting activity from the testnet into mainnet tokens has not yet been finalized.
At the network’s launch, 3.5 billion FLOP are allocated. Of these, 1.2 billion are intended for miners, 305.5 million for validators, 1.2 billion for agents, and 794.5 million for the ecosystem reserve. No separate allocation is provided for the team or VCs.
The initial reward will be 96 FLOP per block. This reward will decrease approximately every two years according to the following schedule: 96 → 48 → 24 → 12 → 6 → 3 FLOP.
