If someone were to propose a realistic plan to slow down AI development globally, he would likely support itābut he doesnāt expect such a plan to emerge, because geopolitical and economic forces are too powerful.
In an interview with Axios, he said that at the current pace, the likelihood of a negative outcome is very high, and he criticized both U.S. political parties for their lack of awareness on this issue.
Among more specific proposals: the idea of āprofessions reserved for humans,ā as well as taxes on robots and on tokensāfunds collected from AI replacing human labor. At the same time, he remains optimistic about agriculture, healthcare, and education.
