The operator of the crypto exchange Upbit, Dunamu, has released its financial results for the second quarter of 2026. Revenue declined amid the ongoing downturn in trading activity on the cryptocurrency market.
- According to data from the Electronic Disclosure System of the Financial Supervisory Service of Korea, published on August 14, Dunamu’s consolidated revenue for the second quarter totaled 173.5 billion won (~$122.7 million)—a year-on-year decrease of 39.27%.
- Operating profit for the quarter fell by 84.61% to 23.5 billion won (
$16.6 million). Net profit decreased by 43.9% to 39 billion won ($27.6 million). - For the first half of the year, the company’s total revenue amounted to 408.1 billion won (
$288.6 million), and operating profit reached 111.5 billion won ($78.9 million)—a decline of 49.1% and 79.7%, respectively. Net profit for the half-year fell by 74.1% to 108.4 billion won (~$76.7 million). - The main impact came from commission income generated by the trading platform—the company’s key revenue source. Revenue from this segment for the half-year totaled 395.5 billion won (
$279.7 million), down 49.8%. Revenue from other services declined by 12.9% to 12.6 billion won ($8.9 million).
Dunamu attributed the decline in performance to reduced global liquidity in the crypto market, which is dampening investment sentiment.
