The largest financial companies and representatives of the crypto industry have announced the creation of the Bitcoin Security Consortium — a consortium that will focus on strengthening the long-term security of the Bitcoin network.
Participants include BlackRock, Coinbase, Fidelity Digital Assets, ARK Invest, Block, Blockstream, Galaxy, Anchorage Digital, and Strategy.
Over the next three years, they will allocate $15 million to fund developers and researchers working on network security, including preparing Bitcoin for potential threats from quantum computers.
