Hackers have hacked the BonkDAO treasury and drained $20 million; the BONK token is down 15% at the moment.

BonkDAO was attacked via a malicious proposal in the governance system.

As a result, approximately $20 million in BONK tokens were withdrawn from the project’s treasury.

The team has already identified the wallets through which the attackers had previously purchased BONK, and is cooperating with exchanges, bridges, and the Solana Foundation to investigate and mitigate the impact.

Law enforcement agencies have been notified of the incident. Work to recover the funds and identify the attackers is ongoing.
