Trump does not rule out adding BTC to the list of assets available for investment through Trump Accounts. Trump also described himself as a strong supporter of cryptocurrencies.
Trump Accounts is a government program of tax-advantaged investment accounts for children under 18, analogous to a children’s IRA. As of July 4, 2026, contributions to these accounts can be made by parents, relatives, and employers. For children born between 2025 and 2028, the U.S. Treasury Department provides a one-time initial payment of $1,000.
Currently, funds in these accounts are invested only in low-cost ETFs tracking U.S. stock indices, primarily the S&P 500. Cryptocurrency is not yet included in the list of permitted assets.
