Robinhood (HOOD) has launched the mainnet of its own blockchain, Robinhood Chain—a Layer-2 blockchain built on Arbitrum, designed for tokenized assets and DeFi applications. The network has been undergoing testing for about four months.
Tokenized shares of the company are now fully accessible via Robinhood Wallet in more than 120 countries, with variations depending on jurisdiction. They can be used for round-the-clock trading as well as being pledged as collateral in lending protocols.
The Robinhood Earn product has been launched—a non-custodial staking service for the USDG stablecoin, offering an annual yield of around 7%.
The company also announced the expansion of perpetual futures trading in Europe (commodities, ETFs, currencies), the launch of crypto trading in the UK, and the start of services in Canada following the acquisition of WonderFi. Agentic Accounts have been introduced—an innovative tool that connects AI models to the trading infrastructure while maintaining user control over their capital.
