17 wallets that had interacted with the Humanity Protocol were drained of $32 million. Of this amount, $23.7 million has already been converted into ETH, while approximately $7.9 million remains in H tokens. The project’s founder, Terence Kwok, admitted the hack, attributing it to the compromise of a member of the Humanity Foundation’s private keys.
However, on-chain analyst ZachXBT questioned the official narrative, suggesting that the incident might have been staged and that the team could have colluded with a market maker. He also pointed out that three out of the four project leaders have a dubious past—facing lawsuits, financial fraud, and ineffective management.
The Humanity Protocol is a decentralized identity verification project based on biometrics and ZK proofs.
