Apple is preparing to release a revamped version of Siri this coming autumn.
The key detail: Some requests will be processed in Googleâs cloud using a licensed version of the Google Gemini model, powered by Nvidia Blackwell B200 chips.
Apple has approved the use of Nvidia Confidential Compute technology, which provides hardware-based encryption of data and AI models directly during computations. This will enable the company to maintain a high level of user privacy despite cloud processing.
Not all requests will go through the cloudâonly the most complex ones that require significant computational power.
