Strategy Chairman Michael Saylor has, for the first time, not ruled out selling some of the company’s Bitcoin before the end of the year.
I think the probability that we’ll sell some Bitcoin before the end of the year is not low
Saylor explained the rationale: The company operates multi-factor models and is focused on a horizon extending to 2033. The goal is to maximize the amount of Bitcoin per share by that date. This means that selling Bitcoin could be part of a long-term strategy rather than a departure from it.
Earlier, Saylor had argued that maintaining flexibility was essential; otherwise, he said, “If the market thinks we’ll never sell Bitcoin, rating agencies will say it’s not an asset.”
