More than 20% of Trump administration officials own cryptocurrency worth a total of $193 million.

According to the Washington Post, about 70 officials and nominees from the Trump administration disclosed holdings of cryptocurrencies or investments—more than one-fifth of nearly 300 senior appointees who were vetted. The total value of disclosed crypto assets amounts to at least $193 million—though the actual figure could be higher.

Trump himself declared at least $51 million in digital assets. Vice President Vance and several cabinet members also disclosed holdings of BTC and other crypto assets.

In comparison, no member of the Biden administration has declared any digital assets. The Trump administration has become the most “crypto-friendly” in U.S. history—and yet it is precisely this administration that will shape regulatory policy toward an industry in which it has a personal stake.
